Shape the Next Generation of Teachers

Each year, many talented graduates are unable to access Initial Teacher Training due to a lack of classroom experience. The Aspire Programme aims to change this.
We partner with schools to provide high-quality placements for aspiring teachers, building knowledge through hand-picked curriculum material developed by e-Qualitas, and supported through a range of online activities, including workshops, webinars, peer-to-peer meetings and mentoring.
By working together, we can build a more robust, supportive pathway into the teaching profession, empowering teachers and schools to create a brighter future for education.

The Aspire Programme for Schools

ACCESS TO MOTIVATED ASPIRING TEACHERS
Aspire provides schools with enthusiastic individuals who have demonstrated strong potential. These candidates are keen to gain school experience and offer immediate support to your pupils and teaching staff.
A FLEXIBLE WORKFORCE  SOLUTION
Aspire candidates will support your pupils and workforce, provide effective cover, enhance the learning environment for students, and reduce the workload for your teaching staff.
SUPPORTING FUTURE TEACHERS
Build your capacity to mentor and develop the next generation of teachers. The Aspire programme can act as a feeder for your SCITT programme or, with e-Qualitas, open up the Teaching Apprenticeship route for your school.
BE PART OF A TEACHER RECRUITMENT SOLUTION
Working with Aspire, schools become part of a larger educational movement. Experience, mentorship, and school support lead to stronger, better-prepared teachers, ultimately improving UK education standards.

How Aspire Works

Recruitment
Working with our partners at e-Qualitas and the DfE we identify high potential candidates who are waiting to enter ITT. We thoroughly vet and clear them before matching them to your school’s needs.
Placement
Aspire candidates receive monthly professional development created by e-Qualitas and take part in group reflection sessions with the Aspire team, ensuring they grow into confident, reflective future teachers.
The Future
Successful placements typically last between one and three terms. As the placements conclude, we work with the candidates and schools to help find them places on ITT programmes including the Teacher Apprenticeship route, your own SCITT or via e-Qualitas.

The Aspire Programme

Selection

The e-Qualitas Suitability Interview process highlights candidates with the personal traits required to be a great teacher but not the experience required to succeed in ITT. Before working in a school, all candidates are subject to the full range of safeguarding checks.

Resources

Aspire candidates can access resources drawn from the Aspire team during their placement. The resources are updated monthly to help build knowledge, contextualise experience and prepare the candidate for ITT.

Support

In addition to the resources, we support, mentor and allow candidates to reflect through a range of online activities, including workshops, webinars, peer-to-peer meetings and scaffolded journalling.
